Entire underneath is storage and their is ALOT of space,has locks for storage and the top doors (one top door lock missing but still shuts and holds up.) holes on top for attaching hammocks and toys. Also has Plexi glass divider for multiple animals. Sides have holders for the original water bottles which you can special order through the company. Extremely easy to clean nothing sticks to the bottom of the unit therefore the bottom looks like new even with breeding rats inside. Top separates from bottom for easy hauling also.
